Pharmacy Research UK delivers and supports events primarily aimed towards early-career researchers across the UK who are interested in pharmacy research and we also sponsor national events to raise the profile of pharmacy research.

Health Service Research and Pharmacy Practice (HSRPP) Workshop: Monday 28th April
On behalf of the HSRPP Committee, we are delighted to be hosting an online workshop on how to craft a good conference abstract. We will be covering points relating to how abstracts should be structured, the common pitfalls and feedback highlighted from previous HSRPP conference rounds, as well as top tips and guidance on how to develop a strong abstract.
PRUK PhD Studentship Webinar
In January 2025, we held a webinar to discuss PRUK’s newest funding scheme – the PhD Studentships. This event explored the PRUK PhD Studentship scheme and what things applicants should consider when developing an application for this scheme. CMHP-PRUK Research Award Webinar
We co-hosted a webinar with our partners, the College of Mental Health Pharmacy, to discuss the CMHP-PRUK Research Award. This event explored this partnership scheme and the support available for pharmacy professionals and CMHP members who wish to undertake pharmacy research into mental health. Celebrating Pharmacy Research Event

Health Services Research and Pharmacy Practice (HSRPP) Conference
The annual HSRPP conference seeks to identify and disseminate the latest research in health service research and pharmacy practice to inform policy and practice development. It also aims to create an environment to encourage pharmacy practice researchers to share ideas about their research with their peers.
Every year the conference is hosted by a School of Pharmacy in Great Britain and Ireland and features oral and poster presentations, keynote speakers and workshops on a range of research methods and issues pertinent to Pharmacy Practice.
The 2024 conference was hosted by the University College Cork.
