CMHP-PRUK Research Award

We are proud to be continuing our funding partnership with the College of Mental Health Pharmacy in 2025, supporting professionals to undertake mental health research in pharmacy. This partnership aims to benefit patients with mental illness, by funding research which contributes to enhancing the quality of care with psychiatric medicines through improving pharmaceutical services or ensuring safe and effective use of medicines.

This year, we are excited to announce that we have the budget to fund more projects than ever before. We have also introduced funding tiers, which allow you to structure your proposal depending on the nature of your research and the amount you are requesting. This will also support our panel in the assessment process to ensure that feedback is offered in line with the scale of research being proposed.

Assessment update: For the 2025 CMHP-PRUK funding scheme, there will be a change to the way in which Tier 1 applications (i.e. applications requesting up to £5,000) will be assessed. External expert review will be waived for these applications. This means that if you are requesting up to £5,000, your application will be reviewed by our internal panel without the need for additional external review. This is in an effort to make the review process as fair and proportionate as possible.

If you are requesting over £5,000 (i.e. Tier 2 or Tier 3), then your application will be subject to internal and external review.

If you missed it, you can watch our webinar where we talk more about the CMHP-PRUK partnership and also hear from grant holders on their own research and experiences of applying.
