Celebration of Pharmacy Research Event
Pharmacy Research UK is hosting an event to celebrate the research undertaken by pharmacy professionals, and to bring together researchers, partner organisations and key stakeholders to network and hear more about our work. We are proud to be showcasing the research that we have funded, alongside research funded with our partners, as well as hearing from key speakers about the current state and future of pharmacy research.
This event will include presentations from David Webb (Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for England), Parastou Donyai (Royal Pharmaceutical Society Chief Scientist), as well as some of our previous grantees from a range of awards that we have provided. This event is about bringing pharmacy professionals together to celebrate the scope and impact of pharmacy research, and giving the researchers and organisations that we have been fortunate to work the chance to meet and learn from one another.
The event will be held at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in London on Thursday 17th October. The full details of the programme will be confirmed in due course, however the expected timings are provided below:
1pm – arrivals and refreshments
1.15pm – Introduction from Malcolm Harrison, chair of Pharmacy Research UK
1.20pm – David Webb, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for England
1.30pm – Professor Parastou Donyai, Chief Scientist, Royal Pharmaceutical Society
1.40pm – Meet the grantees – hear from some current and previous Pharmacy Research UK grant holders about their work
2.10pm – Partnering in pharmacy research – hear from PRUK’s partner organisations about the value of partnership working
2.30pm – Brief thank you from PRUK CEO
2.35 – 4pm – Networking and engagement with refreshment provided
