HSRPP: Health Services Research & Pharmacy Practice Conference

The Health Services Research and Pharmacy Practice Conference has been held over two days annually for the past twenty-nine years. The initial conference, organised by the Pharmacy Practice Research Resource Centre, came about as a result of Department of Health funding aimed at supporting and encouraging research in pharmacy practice.  Particular emphasis is placed on disseminating the work of early career pharmacy practice researchers.

Every year the conference is held at a different Higher Education Institution in the United Kingdom or Ireland.  The conference has a global reach and its papers are published in the prestigious International Journal of Pharmacy Practice.

Each year focuses on a different theme.  However, the objectives are always fundamentally to identify and disseminate submitted research papers that inform policy and practice development along with providing an encouraging environment.  This enables researchers to share ideas about their research with their peers. See previous conferences.

The Health Services Research and Pharmacy Practice Conference is managed by a Steering Group with Pharmacy Research UK operating as secretariat.
