The 2022 Awards and Bursaries round is open!

We have just launched our 2022 round of awards and bursaries for pharmacists to apply for research funding! We are delighted to be able to continue to offer research development awards for pharmacists who are either in the process of working towards their doctoral qualification, or perhaps have recently qualified and want to develop their proposal further. We also offer training bursaries, which have been simplified into two categories this year: Level 1 funds for research training and Level 2 funds for masters qualifications.

We are also delighted to announce the continuing collaborations we have with the British Oncology Pharmacy Association, the College of Mental Health Pharmacy and the Psoriasis Association to offer funding for pharmacy professionals and health service researchers across a range of diverse and important research areas. We remain committed to increasing the scope of opportunities for pharmacy professionals and researchers to engage in pharmacy related research, and these partnerships demonstrate this commitment.

We look forward to announcing further partnerships and collaborations in due course! In the meantime, you can find out more about the live 2022 round on this webpage.

For anyone who is interested in applying to this round, we strongly encourage you to seek additional expert support when putting your application together. We expect you to liaise with your supervisor, however we also encourage you to contact your local NIHR Research Design Service as they are very experienced in supporting bid development and they also have access to methodological experts who can review your proposal ahead of submission. If you are a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, they offer a suite of support through the dedicated Research and Evaluation team. You can also refer to our news posts with key tips on developing your application – we look forward to sharing further information and tips over the coming weeks.

If you have any questions about our schemes or anything else, get in touch at office@pharmresuk.org.uk.
