Pharmacists frequently work across care boundaries (e.g. transfer from secondary to primary care) and are part of multi-professional teams and provide an array of services to the public.
To further develop and optimise roles and services it is vital to know what both patients and non-pharmacy
healthcare professionals understand about pharmacy and pharmacists, and their expectations and experiences of them.
We want to understand and improve the patient knowledge and experience of pharmacy and the pharmacists understanding of this patient understanding and need. A second key theme for us relates to the way in which pharmacists work with other health care professionals and how to improve these relationships to best benefit patients.
