The Pharmacy Research UK (PRUK) Annual Research Review highlights the impact our funding and our researchers have had since the launch of the charity in 2012 and specifically in the calendar year the Review highlights. We published our inaugural Annual Research Review in 2016.
Since our launch in 2012, we have awarded nearly £1.45M to support research capacity building within pharmacy across the UK. This includes funding 45 projects and supporting over 25 pharmacists to develop their research skills and take their first steps into research. In further efforts to build the research base in pharmacy we support the annual Health Service and Pharmacy Practice Research (HSRPP) Conference and in partnership with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, provide outreach and training to pharmacy professionals active across the UK. Our impact continues to grow year on year as we expand our partnership work and seek to maximise research impact.
Our research impact is measured using a system called Researchfish, which we use to collect information on the outcome of all our research grants.
