Our Impact

Pharmacy Research UK has made a significant contribution to advancing research in pharmacy and demonstrating the impact of the profession in improving patient care. We are delighted to share our successes with you.

2015 Annual Review

We published our second annual review earlier this year highlighting our research, celebrating the research funding partnerships and putting forward our vision for the future.

“We are very excited to be publishing our 2016 Annual Research Review which highlights the impact of our funding on improving pharmacy services and patient care. We continue to make steps towards achieving our vision to improve the health of the public through excellence in pharmacy research by building partnerships across sectors and disciplines.” Dr Rachel Joynes, Head of Research and Evaluation at PRUK

Awarded annually at the RPS conference the Pharmacy Research UK Practice Research Award supports the brightest and the best in pharmacy research. This year’s winner is Dr Sarah Slight from Newcastle University. Sarah is a Reader in Pharmacy Practice at Newcastle University and Visiting Research Scholar at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts.

  • Celebrating success

On May 25th 2016 we held a successful research showcase celebrating the achievements of our researchers and the wider impact of their work. See the programme here

We believe research is vital to the continued success of pharmacy. Since 2012 we have supported 22 young researchers from across the UK to develop their research ideas. See more from our researchers on the impact our funding has had on their professional development as they strive to protect the future of pharmacy.
