Rachel Joynes

Trust Director

I am accountable and responsible for PRUK activities, working closely with the Board of Trustees to deliver our vision and strategy. I have oversight of our work in research funding, policy, fundraising, partnership, impact and communications in addition to leading the financial management of the charity.

Alongside my role at PRUK I am also the Head of Research and Evaluation for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (www.rpharms.com). I have a MBiol in Biology, an MSc in Neuroscience and a PhD in developmental biology/ genetics; prior to joining PRUK I have had research management roles in academia, the NHS and the medical charity sector.

Yen Truong

Research Development Manager

I promote knowledge sharing and best practise in evidence through delivery of research tools, services and resources to support members.

I have a BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences, an MSc in Scientific Translation, and an MSc in Social Research Methods. Prior to joining the research team at Pharmacy Research UK, I worked at the Department for Education as part of the team delivering the Universal Free School Meals Policy. I have also worked as a researcher at the National College for Teaching and Leadership and the Children’s Workforce Development Council.

Ardeshier Mofidi

Research Manager

Iam responsible for the daily operations of Pharmacy Research UK, including the preparation of all call launches, processing applications from submission to outcome and liaising with applicants and stakeholders.  I am also the lead for setting up research contracts and monitoring the current Pharmacy Research UK portfolio.

I have previously worked in the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit programme, where I was involved in the commissioning of research for patient benefit. I have also managed the NIHR School for Primary Care Research.  I have a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Neuroscience, specialising in Cognitive Neuroscience.

Kate Woode

Senior Fundraising & Communications Manager

Iam responsible for all the Communications and Fundraising activities of Pharmacy Research UK. I promote our research programme, provide our reactionary statements, manage our communication channels such as our website and social media and lead the PRUK fundraising strategy.

I have an MA (Hons) in Natural Sciences (Pathology) and prior to joining PRUK I worked as a freelance Communications consultant, for the charity coalition Remember A Charity as their Partnerships Manager and for Age UK (then Help the Aged) as their Senior Manager, Corporate Fundraising Account Management.

Victoria Evans

Research Coordinator

I am the main contact for the annual HSRPP (Health Service Research and Pharmacy Practice) conference. I am responsible for the coordination of Pharmacy Research UK events and the ongoing maintenance of the PRUK website and social media.

I hold a degree in German, Spanish and Russian and previously managed projects for Temple Translations and Cambridge English Language Assessment.
